Week 8 Preview: Love the slate. Quick write up, Billy is on the sauce again. Leans becoming a solid fade if you’re into that type of thing. Off the beaten path this week. Try to keep up.
Week 8 Premium Plays:
Air Force -5.5 at Wyoming (1 unit): Finally have an opportunity to get in on the troops here. Tickets known supporter of the troops. Inter-division class warfare here in my opinion. Air Force is a good team in the Mountain West, battled NDSU, win over a good Nevada team, #2 rushing offense in the country.. Good team. Wyoming is not good. Pretty much what this comes down to. No duh, pick the better team, easy enough right? Follow the crumbs here, Air Force should have beat NDSU but ultimately fell 38-32 to the Bison. Wyoming was blanked 28-0. That’s what I am talking about. The gravy here for Tickets backers is the mismatch between the Wyoming Cowboys rush defense (101st) and the Air Force run game (2nd). 101st…. as in the 101st AIR BORNE? Playing at the home of the Wyoming Cowboys….WAR MEMORIAL Stadium? I am attending a concert at WAR MEMORIAL Auditorium tonight…. The signs. Just bet it. Air Force carpet bombs Wyoming like it’s… Iran in 2026, 31-17.
FAU -7 vs Rice (1 unit): High flying Florida Atlantic Owls offense should get back on the right side of things here against the Rice… also the Owls. Rice has an absolutely autistic offense ranking 124th overall, deadlast in pass yards per game (79.7), and 131st in total scoring offense. They do run the ball well but it hasn’t been enough for them this season as they enter the contest 1-6. FAU doesn’t exactly have the best rush defense but they do have an electric offense accomplished mainly through the air averaging 300+ yards per game. Line currently at 7.5, I’m buying the hook but I am expecting FAU to outpace Rice. FAU averaging 54 points per game in their last three games… I like them against a team averaging 17 a game. Evolution of the Owl right in front of our eyes. FAU Owls push out the Rice Owls, 41-28.
LSU -7 at Auburn (2 units): I get it some non-believers may turn up their nose at this one but I love the pick. I was the biggest Auburn guy to start the season but the reality of the matter is they suck. I’m not putting any weight into what happened a week ago vs. Georgia – This Auburn team is bad. Bama and Georgia both walk out of a rock fight and walk right into teams looking to make a statement win against big bro. It is what it is. Ever heard of a let-down game? Let me ask you a question… If perennial powerhouse Georgia is capable of a let-down game.. What do you think is going to happen to Auburn after the biggest win in 15 years? I think LSU is being discounted after a loss at Ole Miss (very good) and at Kentucky (also good), while Auburn is being bought at a premium after knocking off Georgia. This is an Auburn team that barely squeaked by Vandy, got rolled by Tennessee (terrible), and dog walked but an average Florida team. I’m not buying it. Line says LSU Tigers roll…. Wow what are the odds I pick Owls vs Owls and Tigers vs Tigers…. The signs…. Anyway, vegas says LSU, Tickets says LSU. LSU Tigers thrash the Auburn kitty cats, 35-10.
Week 8 Leans (0.5 units):
Ole Miss +3.5 at Texas: Seems to be a mortal lock but that line is fishy.
UCF +7 vs BYU: Hopefully you took notes from last week on what a let down spot means.
Clemson vs Virginia Tech under 49.5: Set it and forget it. Wouldn’t catch me dead watching this game but Clemson D shuts down the Hokies.
Boise State vs Wazzou over 53.5: Brand awareness. This ones going over.
