College Football Week 7 - 2026

College Football – Week 7
Week 6 Premium Plays Record: 3-2 (+1 unit)
Week 6 Leans Record: 2-4 (-1 unit)
Overall Premium Plays Record: 15-16-1 (even)
Overall Leans Record: 12-19 (-3.5 units)
Overall Combined Record: 27-35-1 (-3.5 units)
S-T-A-T-E of the Union: Back to equilibrium on the premium plays with plenty of runway left to go. Thought we had something special brewing heading into the Minnesota pick. Torpedo’ed by Purdue. Nothing worse.
Week 7 Preview: Going to be a quick one here. One of my confidants has made the trek to south Florida for the weekend. Potential boots on the ground for Mike Norvell’s last game.
Week 7 Premium Plays:
Ohio State -3 at Indiana (2 units): Buckeyes hitting the road to take on the Indiana Hoosiers in a top 5 matchup. Second top five matchup on the year for the Buckeyes. Top to bottom, Ohio State has a better roster and has proved they belong among the nation’s best by the product they have put on the field so far this year. Near win on the road at Texas, 20 point win over ranked Iowa, and a pair of other drummings of B10 opponents. The Buckeyes have shown on the field they are legit and can win a national title. Mind you, on the road at Texas is a far more difficult environment than Bloomington, Indiana. Let me be clear. I’m a Cignetti guy. He’s a winner. You always run risk betting against Cignetti and tailing Ryan Day in a big matchup. I just don’t think Indiana is as good as they have been in years prior. Indiana only squeaked by the only two decent teams they played in Northwestern and Nebraska. Good team, not a national title contender. Ohio State is a tier above the Hoosiers and I think it shows on the field Saturday. Buckeyes roll, 31-21.
Duke -3 vs UNC (2 units): Read the above write up and sub in Duke for Ohio State and UNC for Indiana. Same situation here but the make-a-wish version. Duke has beaten respectable teams handily – UNC beat a Pitt team without their starting QB. Duke statistically runs laps around the Tar Heels on both sides of the ball as well ranking inside the top 20 compared to outside the top 75 for UNC. I think duke coming off a loss actually helps us here as well and I trust Manny Diaz to cause issues for turnover prone UNC QB Billy Edwards. If the blood isn’t flowing yet, I will leave you with this: Duke has the 8th ranked time of possession compared to North Carolina’s 132nd ranking in the same category. Give me a duke controlled game and a turnover from our boy Billy Edwards as some point to seal the deal. Blue Devils slaughter the Tar Heels, 31-17
Bama -7.5 at Tennessee (2 units): Pissed off Bama team against a face-less Volunteers team. Tennessee has an open QB competition 6 weeks into the season… Never good when your QB has to prove it on the field against Bama. Especially a Bama team with 9 interceptions in 6 games. Tennessee does have an improved defense but I think their offense hangs them out to dry. The Volunteers also haven’t played a good offense all year so we may be looking at a bit of fools gold statistically there. If the offense can’t move the ball the Volunteer defense will struggle to keep the lid on this electric Bama offense. I’m expecting Bama to hang 35+ conservatively and Tennessee ain’t keeping up… whoever suites up at QB for Tennessee. Volunteers absolutely fraudulent. Tide Rolls, 41-20.
Miami -21 vs Florida State (1 unit): This is it. It ends here. Mike Norvell is the cat with 9 lives. The ‘cockroach’ of college football. He cannot be killed…. Until now. After being up 14 points on the road at Louisville a week ago to giving up 40+ straight and extending their road losing streak. This is a sad deflated Seminoles team. I don’t know how Mini Mike Norvell gets his guys up for this. How does the offense have any sort of confidence when the defense has more open holes than a New Orleans strip club. It’s over. Mike Norvell gets throttled by 40 and subsequently left in Miami Gardens. Canes twist the knife, 55-21.
Week 6 Leans (0.5 units):
Cal +10 vs Wake Forest: Vegas apparently didn’t learn their lesson from last week. Run it back.
Oregon -7 vs Nebraska: Oregon clearly isn’t the national title contender they were expected to be. Still class warfare.
Oklahoma State +4.5 at Houston: Chance for OK State to get back into my good graces. Give me the points in a toss up.
Mississippi State +14.5 at LSU: Feels square but simply too many points for a high powered Bulldogs offense
Baylor -6 vs TCU: Dave Aranda has the Baylor Bears humming like it’s 2019.
Virginia +9 at SMU: Too many points.
Yours truly,
Billy Tickets
