Week 12 College Football
Week 11 Premium Plays: 2-3 (-3 units)
Week 11 Leans: 3-1-1 (+1 unit)
Premium Play Overall Record: 39-17 (+34 units)
Leans Overall Record: 21-21-2 (even)
Combined Overall Record: 61-39-2 (+34 units)
Week 11 Summary: Can’t say I didn’t see that one coming. Got a little to square for my own good. Oklahoma State getting blown out by 40 is one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. Complete no show. Kansas got cucked by injury. Mizzou was blatant.
Week 12 Preview: Love this slate again (nothing new). I think I am seeing clearly now after the barrage of Vegas traps the last couple weeks. I think we get a shakeup in the playoff rankings this week.
Week 12 Premium Plays:
FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
Colorado/Wazzou over 60.5 (2 units): No defense being played in this one. Charles Kelly’s asshole is going to be flapping in the wind by the time Cam Ward is done with him. 43-40, Wazzou
Northwestern +3 (2 units): Northwestern lifting the interim tag off of now Head Coach David Braun just in time for a matchup with Purdue that could send the wildcats bowling this year. Northwestern has been able to hold serve defensively in the conference of defense while Purdue has a couple of traffic cones in the secondary. Starting QB Ben Bryant made his return for the wildcats last week and proved serviceable against a Wisconsin defense that is a wet blanket compared to Purdue’s defense. Additionally, Hudson Card is one of the worst QB’s within the B10 which also is home to Luke Altmyer and Jeff Sims…. Tough to do. I think the Wildcats come out with a little extra fire and earn a bowl birth for David Braun. Would be a hell of a story given the state of the program 3 months ago. Wildcats gash the boilermakers 27-17.
Arizona ML (1 unit): The giant slayers…. Arizona Wildcats… Another ranked team coming to town will be another ranked team leaving with an L. Noah Fifita has proven time and time again he deserves to be ranked among the nations best QB’s and I do not think the Utes defense is going to slow him down. Despite Utah miraculously covering last week, I am still adamant they are not a good team. Washington had a field goal blocked and a bonehead pick six where the DB dropped the ball at the one yard line. Should have been a 3 score game. Utah’s inept offense is going to struggle against a surprisingly good Arizona defense. Arizona pulls out the win at home, 27-21
SMU/Memphis over 64.5 (1 unit): Track meet. Memphis totals last 5 games: 86, 109, 87, 66, 52. SMU last 5 totals: 66, 67, 79, 55, 41. Two of the best GO5 teams face off with major implications. High flying offenses will be on full display.
UNC +7.5 (1 unit): Vegas willing to give us the hook on a Drake Maye led offense against a banged up Clemson D. I’ll bite. Although it is an outside chance, UNC still has a chance to make the ACC playoff game in what will surely be Drake Maye’s last season as a Tar Heel. The outside chance relies on UNC taking care of business down the stretch. The coupled offensive attack of Maye through the air and UNC stud RB Hampton on the ground I think gives them the edge over a Clemson offense that has struggled at times this season. UNC tends to end up in shoot outs and I like Maye to outduel Klubnik. Tar Heels stay alive, 31-30.
Illinois Team Total under 14.5 (2 units): Vegas again giving us the hook with Luke Altmyer this time. Rolling with the trend as well. Iowa has only allowed an opposing team to go over this number once all season. Billy’s Boys (just came up with this, kinda like it) have seen first hand since the jump just how bad Altmyer is and I don’t see him getting any better against the Iowa Hawkeyes defense. Set it and forget it. This one will be cashed by 7pm Saturday night. Iowa wins 24-6.
Mizzou -11 (2 units): Eli and the boys keep the train rolling against a UF team that is ‘freeeeeee, freeeeee falllin yeah were freeeeeee, freeee fallllllinnn’. Brady Cook is a sniper that should have his way with Florida’s secondary. On top of that, the great white hope Cody Schrader has over 1k yards on the ground looking to add a coupler hundred more this weekend. Eli consistently gets his boys up and ready to play. I think this one gets out of hand and Florida heads back to the swamp to mount their last stand at bowl eligibility. Mizzou rolls 41-21.
Leans (0.5 units each)
West Virginia -5: 5 points is a joke. Should be a premium play but I am gunshy after the Ok State incident last week. Same feel here.
Tennessee +10: Gut feeling. Absolutely molly whopped last week in a heated blowout at the hands of Eli Drinkwitz who refused to break bread with gentile Josh Heupel (sounds german, could be deeper rooted issues here) after the game. Tennessee bounces back and throws the playoff picture in to chaos.
Iowa -3: Would never include an Iowa play in my premium plays but I do love the Hawkeyes to have a repeat of their 22-0 rout over Rutgers. Luke Altmyer not going to score.
Baylor +14: TCU should not be laying 14 to anyone.
Oklahoma State -6.5: Couldn’t take myself seriously if I put out another Ok State premium play right after they got drummed 45-3. So here we are. I like them to bounce back. Good bet.
This one doesn’t look exactly how I imagined it but love it none-the-less.
Go be great.
