2024 CFB Week 4 Picks by Spo

Last Week Recap:

Up and down week last week. Hit on some nice plus-money outrights, and only went down 0.7 units despite going 4-7. Bankroll. Management.

Without the dumbass teasers, we would be much better off this season, and I swore them away – until I saw this week’s lines. Finally seeing the board clearly for the first time since Week 1, and we’re gonna throw some hammers down this week, but in a surgical manner. Including teasers. I will not be discouraged.

Gonna just dive in as I love the picks this week.

Jump in, the water’s fine.

Last Week Record: 4-7 (-.74u)

Overall Record: 13 – 28 ( -30.69u)

Picks:

Stanford vs Syracuse -8.5 -110 (3u)

Nice little appetizer we have here on Friday night before the weekend begins.

Pretty simple explanation here – Syracuse good, Stanford bad.

But moreso than that, I’m not sure the market has a great read on this Syracuse team – they’re not elite or anything like that, but they are a very solid team that can play with almost anyone in the country.

Head coach Fran Brown (shoutout Yung T the OG) comes from Georgia back up to the Northeast where he is originally from, and he has this team humming.

Kyle McCord is vindicating himself every week, and the guy has been superb through two games. This Stanford pass defense is atrocious, and I expect McCord to light up the stat sheet once again.

watch out for Cuse going forward -- Fran Brown was an elite recruiter at UGA, and he's is going to snag all of the talent in that New Jersey area.

Nice ML to throw in some chalk parlays as well.

Arkansas ML +115 vs Auburn (2u)

Don’t be fooled by Auburn’s win against the New Mexico Lobos last week, this team is still ass.

Payton Thorne and DJU were battling for the title of most dogshit P4 starting QB in the country, but unlike Mike Norvell, Hugh Freeze tugged his sack and relegated Thorne to the bench. That title is still yours, DJ.

Considering that, the new QB for Auburn Hank Brown has yet to play a meaningful football game, and I think Saturday against the Razorbacks will be a big step up for him.

On the flip side, Arkansas very well could be 3-0 if they didn’t beat themselves against Okie State a couple weeks back. They were excellent in that first half, but completely disappeared in the 2nd half like a E11EVEN stripper once she realizes the ATM is denying your withdrawal attempts.

Taylen Green is coming off a terrible game last week against UAB, but I expect him to respond in their first SEC contest of the year.

Sam Pittman is coaching for his job every week, but I think he will be able to wait another week until he has to resort to posting titty pics on OnlyFans. Nice tits, Sam.

Woo Pig Souie.

Georgia Tech +11 -120 vs Louisville (5u)

I just don’t understand this line whatsoever. It’s like the market overinflated the Yellowjackets 2 weeks ago against Cuse, but now they have reversed course and GT is undervalued once again.

Louisville has played 2 cupcakes, while GT has already played 2 conference games and is somewhat battle tested by now. I just don’t see how you could back the Cardinals here.

Further, I think GT has the better coach, and the better QB here, which almost always makes it an auto-bet for me. I don’t think Haynes King is a good pass by any means, but he will keep you more than honest with his running ability.

For the Cardinals, they have Tyler Shough under center – this kid should’ve cut his losses years ago and accepted his fate as an insurance salesman, because he has no future playing football. The “kid” is almost 25 years old and is still sucking against 18 year olds. Move on, boss.

Lastly, Brent Key is 5-0 against ranked ACC opponents so far in his career – he gets his guys up for big games, and this will be no different.

Sprinkle ML here for a fun time.

TCU ML -125 vs SMU (5u)

To be honest, I don’t know much about either of these teams. However, I did watch the BYU vs SMU game a couple weeks back, and I seriously think SMU is one of the only teams in the country FSU could beat right now. I think that says something.

Although the Mustangs have a NFL talent on roster in QB Preston Stone, they literally had to switch to their mobile backup, because Stone was getting absolutely murdered behind their OL.

For the Horned Frogs, they have a QB and offensive system that loves to air it out, and that’s what they’ll do in this game.

SMU has yet to play a real team (not counting the Mormon Samoans of BYU), and they are in for a rude awakening against Sonny Dykes’s squad this week.

Sonny and the Horned Frogs will put belt to ass like Pootie Tang, and they will roll.

Games to Watch:

USC vs Michigan (No Bet)

Everyone assumed USC would come into the Big House and wax the floor with Michigan, but after LSU revealed themselves as frauds last week, that idea is waning, as evidenced by the line movement.

Michigan will deploy a triple option ground attack, and that is going to be tough for the Trojans to scout and prep against.

I lean Michigan with the points on here, but considering Miller Moss is my actual boy, I can’t do that.

Not a bad teaser leg for the Wolverines, however.

Cal vs FSU (No Bet)

We’ve been hitting on fading the Noles the past 2 weeks, but this week feels off to me.

Reports say that Brock Glenn has been throwing to the 1s this week in practice, and I just don’t know how Mini Mike can continue to roll with DJU – the boos alone would make me switch.

Mini Mike put out a faux depth chart, per usual, and I just have a weird feeling this is the coming out party for The Glennaisance.

He may not start, but if he comes in, I will be looking to mortally slam the Noles with a live bet

Mini, please, just listen – do not trot that fucking pineapple farmer back out in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday – it will be good for no one, including yourself. Take a hint, buddy.

***I do actually have a bet for this game, but I had to go offshore to find the line***

DJU under 200.5 Passing Yards -115 – this either voids because he doesn’t play, or hits easily after her once again soils himself on the field. 5 units.

Tennessee vs Oklahoma (No Bet)

Best game of the week right here, so we will discuss.

The Vols have been getting glazed by the media like they’re Abella Danger, and I just don’t understand it – I was hearing on XM radio some people calling them the best team in the country – what an absolute joke.

Don’t get me wrong, Josh Heupel is a great coach, and Nico Iamaleava is also my confirmed boy, but I can’t justify the hype they’ve been getting.

Their “marquee win” to this point is against NC State, which is another team I think the Noles would have a chance against. They fucking blow. And Tennessee was in a dogfight with the Wolfpack until literal autist Grayson McCall threw a pick 6, and the wheels fell off from there.

It’s my belief that Oklahoma has been prepping for this game for weeks, and I expect them to come out hot.

Of course, Heupel will be looking to get revenge against his former school and employer that did him dirty, so the Vols will be fired up as well.

I lean towards the under as both young QBs debut in their first SEC games, but no bet here.

Pulling for the Vols, but would not be surprised if OU takes this one outright.

Sprinkles:

UF at Mississippi State ML +190 (1.5u)

If you’re a Gator fan, you should be actively rooting for the Gata to lose every game until Napier is fired.

The last thing you want is to give crooked AD Scott Strciklin any sort of justification for not firing Sun Belt Billy yet – Stricklin’s job security is directly tied to Napier’s, and funny enough he’s the only man at UF with the authority to fire Billy – you don’t want to prolong the inevitable, but that’s what Stricklin will do if the Gators squeak this out.

On the actual game, this is a massive overreaction to last week’s beatdown against Toledo.

The Bulldogs were looking ahead to this conference game the whole time, and Jeff Lebby is going to pencil whip the shit out of Billy and his ensemble of retards.

More. Cowbell.

Ultra Mammy 13 Point Teaser -125 (3u):

Cuse +4.5 / Miss St +19 / Arkansas +15.5 / Georgia Tech +24 / Cal +15.5

Degen Parlay +18786 (.2u):

Miss St ML / WVU ML / Arkansas ML / Georgia Tech ML / TCU ML / Cal ML

Chalk Parlay +109 (4u):

Cuse ML / Clemson ML / Mizzou ML / Boston College ML

That’s all the picks for this week.
